When Whittakers Chocolate released their Jelly Tip Block, we had to test it for you to make sure it was up to our high standards.  Especially since it is a Limited Edition, so who knows when it will suddenly disappear from the grocery shelves.

For those of you who don't live in New Zealand, the Jelly Tip is an icecream on a stick, made by our top icecream maker, TipTop.  It's a vanilla icecream with a raspberry jelly top, covered in milk chocolate.  And it's been around for at least 40 years, so you know it is a classic New Zealand icecream.

So Whittakers decided they would make a chocolate version of the Jelly Tip.  Their version is made with a milk chocolate base, raspberry jelly on top, and covered in white chocolate. 

And it is delicious!  Yes, it does taste like the combination of flavours in a Jelly Tip icecream.  So it is sweet, and I predict that kids and adults will love it.  I think some adults will find it a bit too sweet, but that's OK.  Whittakers now have such an amazing range of chocolate, including their new Artisan range, that we are spoilt for choice.
